Time for YOU to go to Alaska!

I have put together a week at the Naknek River Camp outside of King Salmon Alaska for August 20-27, 2016. I am working on this well in advance so that those of you that are interested have time to budget for this trip of a lifetime.

The Naknek River in AK is a true world class rainbow trout fishery where you have a chance at a 30" rainbow everytime you go out. August is a great time to hit the area because the sockeye and king salmon are in and spawning. They are closely followed by big rainbows, Arctic Char, and Arctic Grayling. The sliver salmon are coming in strong that time of year and are super aggressive to hammer streamers. There are even some great monster northern pike opportunities along the Naknek if you like toothy critters.

You will also be fishing some creeks in Katmai National Park including the famous Brooks River, where you will attend bear school and see Brooks River Falls and the Grizzly Bears that famously catch salmon there. We will also hit destinations like Margot Creek and King Salmon Creek.

There are also separate fly-out excursions available to Moraine Creek (trophy rainbows), Contact Creek
(most spectacular creek in Katmai National Park that gets almost no fishing pressure), Ugashik Narrows (trophy size 30"+ Arctic Char) and several other destinations (usually ranging from $200-$400 per trip).

Pricing of the week at camp will be $2495. This includes your cabin for the week, all meals, and the guides for the daily trips. This is a phenomenal deal for an all inclusive week in AK.  Jim locked us in at the 2013 prices.  You will not find a better deal in 2016.  Prices already went up to $2695 for 2014.


Other than that you will want to tip the guides for the week (about $300 - 400) and get airfare ($900-1500 depending on when you book it).

A $1000 deposit will be due on October 1, 2015 to hold your spot.  We have plenty of room, so start planning and saving now to join us for this adventure.
